Due to our extensive paediatric experience, we have a commitment to working with your child’s health care providers where possible. If your child has complex needs, we are willing to work with your child’s hospital specialist team.

Children’s Podiatry

Our clinic has a dedicated paediatric assessment room for children and have a strong commitment to functional assessment in a play based environment. This means, our paediatric room has toys, balls, balance beam, mini tramp and much more. This equipment helps us to understand how your child’s feet and legs work during play.

Due to our extensive paediatric experience, we have a commitment to working with your child’s health care providers where possible and in case of complex needs, are willing to work with your child’s specialist team. We are registered NDIS providers. 

We can provide assessment and advice on many children’s foot and lower limb complaints including:

  • Curly toes
  • Positional talipes
  • Metatarsus adductus
  • Paediatric flat foot with or without any associated medical conditions
  • Foot pain associated with juvenile arthritis
  • Growing pains
  • Toe Walking with or without a medical cause
  • Heel pain
  • Excessive in-toe or out-toe walking
  • Footwear and abnormal wear in shoes

When treatment is required for any of these conditions, we may provide a strength and stretching program, footwear advice, splinting, casting or orthotic therapy. We can also advise and assist in organizing specialist referral if needed. 

The podiatrists at Kingston Foot Clinic regularly provide continuing education in paediatric podiatry for other podiatrists, so you can be assured that any treatment recommended for your child is based on the best available evidence and experience. 

Nail care, corn and callus removal, nail surgery, strengthening and stretching programs, dry needling, orthoses provision, footwear advise and provision can all be provided as appropriate

General Podiatry

 All the podiatrists within our clinic have experience in general and common podiatry conditions.

We can provide assessment and treatment for the lower limb and foot including:

  •  Fungal Nails
  • Thickened nails
  • Sports injury advice and rehabilitation
  • Corn and callus care and prevention
  • Heel spur/heel pain advice and treatment
  • Shin splints
  • Achilles tendonopathy

Nail care, corn and callus removal, nail surgery, strengthening and stretching programs, dry needling, orthoses provision, footwear advise and provision can all be provided as appropriate.

We also stock a range of medical grade extra depth and extra width footwear along with a range of foot care products.

Dance Podiatry

We can provide assessment, advice, and treatment on all lower limb complaints relating to dance, including:
 

  • Injury Management and Prevention
  • Pre-Pointe Assessment, and Pointe shoe fitting
  • Customisation of Pointe Shoes
  • Dance Specific strength training for the lower limb
  • Footwear advice
  • Nail issues, corns, callous and other skin irritations

Caitlin joined Kingston Foot Clinic after 4 years full time work with the Australian Ballet, giving her unparalleled experience in Dance Podiatry. She has worked closely with all of Australia’s leading dance shoe providers, and has taught Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Ballet, and Pointe classes at various dance schools since 2005.Caitlin also provides continuing education on Dance Podiatry for other podiatrists, so you can be assured you are getting the best treatment and advice available.
